Captain Greybeard a.k.a. H.L. Credle
Capt. Greybeard history goes back to the famed Edward Teach a.k.a. Blackbeard. It been told down through the generations that around 1712 Blackbeard had three Credle brothers aboard the Queen Ann's Revenge , they were so unruly that even Blackbeard couldn't rule them, so he had them walk the plank at Ocracoke North Carolina.
There the three Credle brothers settled the Northern shore of the Pamlico Sound.
Blackbeard was given a pardon by then Governor Eden of Bath , where Blackbeard berthed the french ship he found floating unmanned ????, at the Bath settlement .
While hiding out he married a young peasant girl of the Ormond family. It appears the Ormond girl is related to my Aunt Helen Ormond who married Harold Ormond direct decedent of that peasant girl.
If you know Capt. Greybeard , then there no doubt he is a modern day pirate, just try buying something from him ! Better hold onto you wallet.
